Churches in Petrockstow Parish

Petrockstowe Community Church

Petrockstowe Methodist Church Okehampton
https://www.petrockstowechurch.org.uk/welcome.htm

We are a congregation of Methodists and Anglicans who have joined together for Sunday services held in the Chapel. We worship as one congregation attending both Methodist and Anglican services and also joining together to lead a local lay led service when there is no Preacher or Minister available.

We are part of the West Devon Methodist Circuit and Anglican Torridge Team Ministry.

Petrockstowe Methodist Chapel is in the centre of the village and was built in 1933. It is a charming chapel with a schoolroom and is part of the West Devon Methodist Circuit.

St Petroc's Church sits above the village, at the heart of North Devon's rural agricultural area. It has a historic connection to Buckfast Abbey in south Devon. A window in the church recognises the Yeo family as being of local significance. Sadly in need of much repair to the roof and electrics, at present its doors are closed.

We really enjoy sharing our parish life with everybody whatever your age, background, beliefs, personality or lifestyle. As a rural churches we seek to build the community and celebrate the beauty of our surroundings. We seek to be open to all, and aware of the needs of those who are actively part of the church, and those who are not.
